FAQs

Q. Where are OOFOS made?

A. OOFOS has two factories, one in South Korea and one in Vietnam.

Q. Who are OOFOS shoes for and who should/could be wearing them?

A. The short answer is everyone.

The technology behind OOFOS footwear is the unique OOfoam, which absorbs 37% more shock than any other material found in footwear. The patented foot-bed also offers great support, which is why OOFOS are recommended by Health Professionals such as Podiatrists and Physiotherapists. The simplest way to describe OOFOS footwear is by saying that normally you have a very soft material with no support or a relatively hard material with support. OOFOS offers the best of both worlds as the OOfoam is extremely soft and the Patented Foot-Bed offers great support including arch support.

Q. Does OOFOS have a warranty?

A. We provide a 6 month warranty on any pair purchased directly through us or through one of our authorized dealers. Please see below our warranty policy and the link for the warranty claim form we need in order to process all warranty claims.

Every pair of OOFOS purchased from OOFOS or an authorized OOFOS dealer is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for six months from the date of purchase. If upon inspection we determine there is a defect in your OOFOS, we will replace them with a new pair.

If you believe your product is defective, please email a completed Warranty Return Form to us at info@oofos.ca along with the following pictures:

• Product in its entirety
• Bottom of soles showing tread
• Defective area
• Proof of purchase within months from an authorized dealer or seller

Please note that all warranty exchanges will be replaced with the same style, color and size (if unavailable, a pair of the same price will be substituted). If a pair of lesser value is requested, a refund in price difference will not be issued.

Please note that all warranty exchanges will be replaced with the same style, color and size (if unavailable, a pair of the same price will be substituted). If a pair of lesser value is requested, a refund in price difference will not be issued.

Q. How do I know if I’m buying OOFOS from one of your authorized sellers?

A. You can find any of our verified sellers directly on our website by using our store locator. Any shoes purchased from unauthorized sellers or social commerce websites (Amazon, EBAY etc.) are not eligible for exchanges, returns or warranties through OOFOS.

Q. Where can I purchase OOFOS?

A. We have a store locator where you can do a search for a location closest to you. Not all locations will have a full selection of every style and color so we suggest you call ahead if you are looking for a specific style.

Q. How do I care for my OOFOS?

A. All OOFOS can be washed in cold water with mild soap. Simply air dry in a cool, shady spot. You can also use disinfectant wipes to clean the soles.

Do not put your OOFOS in the dryer as exposing OOFOS to high heat will cause the material to shrink.

Q. Will OOFOS be good for the medical condition that I have?

A. We suggest consulting your doctor or podiatrist first to see if they recommend OOFOS for your specific ailment.

Q. Can I wear my OOFOS for working out?

A. OOFOS are great for casual walking environments and post-workout recovery. However, we do not recommend OOFOS footwear for workouts.

Q. What is the heel to toe drop in OOFOS?

A. The heel to toe drop in all OOFOS is 6mm.

Q. What is the difference between the OOmg Mesh and the OOmg Fibre

A. Our Mesh fabric features a 4-way stretch mesh that’s a little more open weave and breathable than our Fibreflex fabric. The Fibreflex fabric is a closer weave, ideal for cooler temperatures. Both shoes provide a comfortable and breathable experience.

Q. Are the OOmg shoes waterproof?

A. All OOmg shoes are not waterproof as they have a fabric material on the upper that are not treated for water resistance.

Q. Are the OOmg boots waterproof?

A. While the upper part of the OOmg Boot and Bootie are water resistant neither are waterproof.

Q. Are OOFOS slip resistant?

A. OOFOS are not certified as slip resistant.

Q. Do I need to break in my OOFOS?

A. Generally speaking, no. Our unique OOfoam™ material that OOFOS are made of is designed to help you walk with your most natural gait. If you do experience any break-in sensation, please reach out to our Customer Care team and they will be happy to assist.

Q. How long do OOFOS last?

A. Let the tread be your guide. It depends on how much and the type of ground your pair of OOFOS cover. We do find that most customers will change out their OOFOS around every 8-9 months or when the treads on the bottom of the shoe start to wear down.

Q. Why do my OOFOS smell bad when I receive them?

A. OOFOS do not contain any toxic materials or chemicals. It's the odor from our freshly made OOfoam™ which gets contained in the packaging during assembly. Simply place them outside or near some fresh air and the odor should dissipate. You can also clean your OOFOS in cold water with mild soap which will also resolve the odor.

Q. How do OOFOS footwear help with recovery?

A. Most people are wearing shoes that tell their feet where to move. This is because these shoes are very structured. Athletic shoes can be stiff as they quite often are geared for stability. Orthotics are designed to do the same thing. OOFOS shoes are about the "feel" and helping your feet and you to feel better! Our patented foot-bed design offers a lot of support and the OOfoam provides 37% more shock absorption than any other materials found in footwear. This translates to giving the feet and your body relief from the effects of weight bearing and thus helps the wearer recover from the physical demands of their activity, whether it be from sports, working or being on their feet all day.

Q. My doctor says flip flops are not good for my feet, why are yours?

A. The OOfoam also provides 37% more shock absorption than other materials used in shoes in the marketplace today. Doctors have not previously seen what we are offering, so we understand why they say this. One of our missions here at OOFOS is to change that and we are! We have many podiatrists recommending our shoes to their patients and the list is growing in all medical communities and allied health fields (Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Massage Therapists etc.).
