1. Surferâs Path Marathon
Santa Cruz, CA: May 20th, 2018

We all need some beach vibes in our lives, and looking forward to this stunning course along California's Monterey Bay Coast might be just the thing. The race kicks off at Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk and winds its way to a finish at Cowellâs Beach. This is a feel-good race that's great for runners of all levels.
2. Steamboat MarathonÂ
Steamboat Springs, Colorado: June 3rd, 2018

Soak up the scenery as you run alongside the roaring Elk River with the Rocky Mountains in the distance. This road race has been named one of the âTop 10 Destination Marathons in North America,â and itâs a Boston Qualifier to boot. A word to the wiseâincorporate altitude into your training plan!
3. Mad Marathon
Waitsfield, Vermont: July 8th, 2018

Runner's World named this scenic marathon a bucket list race for 2018.
Go rural in central Vermontâs Mad River Valley, where the undulating hills are broken up by picturesque covered bridges and lush farmlands. This is a great marathon for the summer months, thanks to the cool, breezy weather in the valley.
4. Run Wild Missoula Marathon
Missoula, Montana: July 15th, 2018
This flat and fast course is great for first-time marathoners, and for those looking to hit a PR. Follow the road from Frenchtown through the gorgeous countryside, then make a sprint for the finish line in historic downtown Missoula. Registration is limited to 1,500 runners so the race has atmosphere without feeling too crowded.
5. Crater Lake Rim Run Marathon
Crater Lake National Park, Oregon: August 11th, 2018

This is a marathon that will take your breath away, literally and figuratively. Push your limits as you run along a tough course that circles the rim of Oregonâs incredible Crater Lake. The road is mostly paved, but prepare to hit the dirt for the last four miles. Spaces are limited, so register as early as possible.
